AI political ad disclaimer generator
Pick every state where the ad will run. You get each state's required AI disclaimer word for word, its size and audio rules, and a warning where the law bans the content no matter what label it carries.
Add every state where the ad will air, stream, mail or be posted. A digital ad seen statewide in several states must satisfy each of them.
Frequently asked questions
What should an AI disclaimer on a political ad say?
Use the exact words the state prescribes where one does. 21 jurisdictions set wording in statute (Alabama, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin). Elsewhere, a clear statement that the image, audio or video was generated or substantially altered by artificial intelligence satisfies most laws.
Where does the disclaimer go and how big must it be?
It varies. Several states require text at least as large as the largest other text in the ad, visible for the whole video, and spoken at the start and end of audio. The generator returns each state's format rule.
Does a disclaimer protect me in every state?
No. A few states prohibit some deceptive candidate deepfakes outright inside their window, so a label does not make that ad legal. The generator flags them.
